Donald L. Voyzey

NEWFANE — Donald L. Voyzey, age 75, formerly of Youngstown, NY and Philipsburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at Newfane Rehabilitation & Health Care Center,                Newfane, NY.

Born August 18, 1937 in Rush Township, son of the late Alfred and Selena (Cotter) Voyzey. He married Verna Jean "Sis" (Myers) Voyzey on January 16, 1959 in Philipsburg. Verna passed away February 24, 1993.

Donald was a millwright and retired from Occidental Chemical, Niagara Falls, NY. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Hawk Run.

He is survived by six children, Donald Voyzey, Jr. of Martinsburg, WV; Mary Anne Schiro (Michael Ryan) of Ransomville, NY; Barbara Wilson (Stanley) of Newfane, NY; Keith Voyzey (Lori) of Springfield, VA; Kevin Voyzey (Scott Stiller) of Onoville, NY; Gregory Voyzey (Paulette) of  Grand Island, NY; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Donald was the last of his generation.

A graveside service and burial was held at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery, Hawk Run, on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at 2:00 PM, with Fr. Peter Benyo officiating. At Mr. Voyzey's   request, there was no public viewing. Arrangements are under the direction of the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N.
