Edward A. Shakarjian

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Edward A. Shakarjian, 79, of East Flats Rd., East Otto, NY, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at his home. He was born on December 6, 1932 in Niagara Falls, NY.
Ed was a veteran having served in the 101st  Airborne from 1952-1955. He was a member of the Local #280 Carpenters Union in Lockport, NY and of the Little Valley American Legion as well as an avid outdoorsman.
Survived by his wife, Rebecca (Milks); son, Christopher Shakarjian of Lewiston, NY (children CJ, David and Kianna); daughter, Shelley (William) Jimerson of Sanborn, NY (children, Jeremiah, Justin and Joshua); two step-sons, Matthew (Rebecca) Ellis of Cattaraugus, NY and Scott (Debbie) Ellis of Wilmington, DE; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother, Zakar Peter (Pearl Hairabedian) Shakarjian of Rochester, NY (children, Michael, Mark, Tamara, Patricia and Paul). Predeceased by his father, Aristakes; mother, Araxie (Vartanian) Shakarjian; and sister, Louise Margaret Brownell.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, December 16th at 11 AM at St. Hagop Armenian Apostolic Church, 322 Ninth St., Niagara Falls, NY.
