Matthew J. Rutkowski

NIAGARA FALLS — On December 10, 2012, Matthew J. Rutkowski went home to be with the Lord after a long,      courageous fight with cancer. He was born on February 24, 1953 in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Matthew W. and Eleanor Rutkowski.

Matt worked for the Niagara Falls Board of Education for 30 years. Matt was an avid                sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He enjoyed spending time at his cabin and his             grandchildren. He was a member of the LaSalle Sportsman's Club.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Roberta (Twoco) Rutkowski; children, Diana (Ryan) Suitor of Youngstown, NY, Kristen of Eden, NY; step-sons, Walter Confer of Niagara Falls, NY and Danny (Gina) Fracassi of Fort Worth, TX; his grandson, Liam and Luke Suitor and Mia Fracassi of Fort Worth, TX; his mother, Eleanor Rutkowski; sisters, Linda Skotniski and Mary Ellen (Steven) Mrzygut; his aunt, Dorothy (Anthony) Gara; as well as  several nieces, nephews and cousins.

THERE IS NO PRIOR VISITATION. Entombment will take place at the convenience of the family. A memorial service will take place on December 22, 2012, at 10:00 AM at Forestview Church of God, 1250 Saunders Settlement Rd., Niagara Falls, NY, with Pastor Ronald Maines  officiating. Arrangements entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC.
