BROCTON —
Dennis Michael Perez, Ph. D., 66, of Brocton, NY, passed away February 11, 2013 from cancer. Born July 25, 1946 in Niagara Falls, NY, he was predeceased by his parents, Frank Victor Perez (2009) and Emma Tezanos Perez (2009).
He was an associate professor at SUNY Fredonia for 27 years, including chairing the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology, before retiring in 2004. Known for his excellent mentoring abilities, he guided and encouraged numerous students through their educational journey. Along with many other professional interests and experiences, he maintained a private practice for over 30 years.
His love and support will be missed, as well as the sharing of outdoor adventures and family time.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Arden Kittredge Perez; daughters, Sara Perez (Daniel Mulholland), Asheville, NC and Chelsea Perez, Asheville, NC; brothers, Frank V. Perez, Jr. (Barbara), Tampa, FL and James L. Perez (Kathleen), Niagara Falls, NY; sister-in-law, Charlene Perez, Niagara Falls, NY; grandsons, Orion Perez Mulholland and Oscar Perez Mulholland, Asheville, NC.
