John B. King, Jr.

NIAGARA FALLS —  

John B. King, Jr., nicknamed "Bud King", entered into rest on March 15, 2013 at the Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Home, in Niagara Falls, NY after a lengthy illness. He was the son of the late John B. and Harriet (Colegrove) King, Sr., born on April 25, 1933 in Olean, NY, where he was raised, and later served in the U.S. Army.
John was married to Crystal (Freeman) King for 28 years and had six children together. He was also married to Freida Thomas and Frederica Martens for short periods of time. John was employed at Hurtubise Tire, in North Tonawanda, NY, as a tire salesman, before moving to California and opened his own business called "Bud's Truck Tire".
Survivors include six children, Kathleen (Gerald) Failing of Wheatfield, NY, John B. (Rose) King III of Ocean Side, CA, Pamela Janda of Middleport, NY, Peggy (Dennis) Redick of Cambria, NY, Steven B. (Colleen) King of Reno, NV and Brenda King of Lockport, NY; 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. John was also predeceased by a brother, Thomas King; a sister, Nancy (George) Derby; and a grandson, Brett Strong.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Angel's Catholic Church, Olean, NY, with an interment following in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, at the family's convenience. Arrangements were entrusted to the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, Wheatfield, NY.
