NIAGARA FALLS —
Jean E. Martin, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Monday, March 11, 2013, at her home. She was 79. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 15, 1933, the daughter of the late Edward E. and Eileen W. (Meehan) Martin. She attended local schools and was a graduate of the former LaSalle Junior/Senior High School.
Jean was a longtime employee of New York Telephone Company, retiring in 1984. She was a member of the Elks Lodge 346 and the Telephone Pioneers. An avid sports fan, she enjoyed watching various events on TV.
Survivors are her twin sister, Joan Bauer of Macedon, NY and sister, Joyce Lamb of Niagara Falls; a brother, Edward E. Martin, Jr. (Barbara) of Rolling Meadows, IL; her longtime friend, Edna Bodway of Niagara Falls; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Friday after 12 Noon in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 8622 Buffalo Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 1 PM. Interment will be private in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton, NY.
