Rose L. Monti

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Rose L. Monti, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on December 27, 2012 at her residence while under the  care of her loving family and Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Rose (Truman) York.
Rose attended local schools in Niagara Falls, Ontario, where she received her Associate's Degree. On May 3, 1949, she married Louis Monti, Sr., in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Monti later predeceased her in 1981. Rose was employed as a manager of the children's department at the former Lerner's Department Store in Niagara Falls, NY. She enjoyed reading and cooking as well as spending time with her family, especially her great grandson, Gino.
Ms. Monti is survived by her two children, Louis (Kathy) Monti, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY and Emma (Allen) Fotusky of Gordonsville, VA. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Terese Monti of Van Nuys, CA and Samantha (Anthony) Fagiani of Niagara Falls, NY; and one great grandson, Gino Fagiani.
