Christopher McDonnell

LEWISTON — Christopher McDonnell, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2013, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY.

He  was born in Glasgow, Scotland, on February 25, 1932, the son of the late Christopher and  Marion (Barrett) McDonnell.

Mr. McDonnell came to Niagara Falls, NY in 1957. He was employed with Moore Business Forms and later with the Tulip Corp. for over 20 years, before retiring in 1996. He enjoyed bowling, playing golf and soccer.

Mr. McDonnell is survived by his wife of 33 years, Linda A. (Menard) McDonnell; one son, Christopher (Katrina) McDonnell of Ransomville, NY; two daughters, Norah and Julie McDonnell, both of Niagara Falls, NY; two sisters, Ellen (late Joseph) Monaghan and Mary (Eugene) Maxwell; and was  the brother-in-law of Margaret McDonnell and Jack Stewart. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Jack McDonnell and Norah Stewart.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, at 11:00 AM at the First Congregational Church, 822 Cleveland Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY, with the Rev. Marna Pritchard officiating. Memorials may be made in his name to the First Congressional Church or to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Niagara Falls, NY.
