Laura CC. (Chelton) Probash, 85, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY. Born March 13, 1927 in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine Chelton and attended schools there. Laura was a homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening and volunteering at her church, the First Presbyterian in Niagara Falls.
She is survived by her husband, John A. Probash of Niagara Falls, NY; her daughters, Karen Probash of Niagara Falls, NY, Patricia (Roger) Wilkerson of Vestale, NY; her sister, Iona Rickard of Niagara Falls, NY; her niece, Meghan Wilkerson of Amherst, NY, and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mae Cocolin.
Friends may call Wednesday, January 23rd, from 7-9 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th St., cor. Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 12:30. Burial following in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Donations in her memory may be made to the SPCA, 2100 Lockport Rd., Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
