Ensley Searight, Jr.

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Ensley Searight, Jr., 75, of Niagara Falls, entered eternal rest on February 13, 2013 under the care of Niagara Hospice and his family. "Buddy", as he was affectionately known, was born on October 6, 1937 in Petrey, AL, the son pf the late Ensley, Sr., and Minnie Lee Searight.
Buddy moved to Niagara Falls in 1955 and married the former Mary McIntyre in 1956. He was a longtime member of the New Jerusalem Revival Center and sang in the choir. He was a retiree of the former Airco Speer Co. retiring in 2000 after 43 years of service. Buddy enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. Surviving other than his wife of 56 years, Mary Searight; are three sons, Vincent (Janet) of Arizona, Jerry of Niagara Falls, Canada and Timothy (Vickie) of Niagara Falls; one daughter, Renay (Jesse) Lucas of Niagara Falls; three brothers of Niagara Falls, Robert, Rev. Arthur Searight and Rev. Jimmie Searight; two sisters, Janice Monroe of Rochester, NY and Minnie Louise Guest of Arizona; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends, including Athelda Abrams. He was predeceased by one brother, Joe L. Searight; and one sister, Cora Powell.
Visitation on Monday at 11 AM in the New Jerusalem Revival Center, 2723-20th Street. Funeral to begin at 12 PM. Burial in Riverdale Cemetery. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
