Bill served in the Army as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne and was a member of the American Legion Post 1346.
Beloved husband of Dorothy (DeSimone) Riggs. Dearest father of Deborah Hurko of Niagara Falls; Eileen (John) Bower of Abilene, TX; Valerie Joslin of LeRoy; Jill Archibald of Tonawanda; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by three brothers, Herman (Barb) Riggs, Gary (Sue) Riggs, Joseph (Debbie) Riggs, all of Indiana; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Doris (Goudy) Riggs; and brothers, Gerald, Ronald, Steve, Gail, Jerry; and a sister, Anita Brown.
