Henry V. Wisnieski

NORTH TONAWANDA —  

Henry V. Wisnieski, 84, of North Tonawanda, passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Riverwood Health Care Center on Grand Island. He was born in Buffalo on May 23, 1928 to Paul and Aniela Wisnieski. Henry was a  Buffalo Policeman for 36 years.
Henry is predeceased by his beloved wife, Shirley (nee Hill); sister, Stella Potter of Aurora CO; brother, Walter of North Tonawanda; and granddaughter, Jael Lin. Henry was a devoted father to his children, Diane (Jack) Harms of North Tonawanda, David (Wenqung Wu) of China and Michigan, Daniel (Brenda) of Youngstown, NY, Debra (Bruce) Good of Albion, NY and Douglas (Patricia) of North Tonawanda. He was a loving grandfather to Jennifer (Brian) Young, North Tonawanda, Jeffrey Harms, Chicago, IL, Jody ( Jason) Warnke, East Aurora, Derek (Lisa), Niagara Falls, Nathan (Christine), Niagara Falls, Zachary (Sarah), North Tonawanda, Jael, Niagara Falls, Alexa (Jason) Schuster, Paul, both of Tonawanda, Brandon and Aileen, both of Michigan. Henry was a beloved great-grandfather to eleven. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
No prior visitation. A private family service and burial are being held in the Chapel of the Elms, Elmlawn Cemetery, Tonawanda. Arrangements by Wattengel Funeral Home (692-0440).
