NIAGARA FALLS —
Jean Zawacki, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 in Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Garbacki) Zawacki and attended local schools. Jean was employed as a production worker for the Carborundum Company until her retirement.
She is survived by her nephew, Jerry Zawacki of Niagara Falls, NY; her nieces, Irene (late Michael) Lukaszonas of North Tonawanda, NY, Florence VanEvery of MI, and Reggie Englehart; also many other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, George, John, Casimer and Stanley Zawacki; sisters, Stella (Stefan) Kajfasz and Genevieve Zawacki; niece, Frances Brady; nephews, Frederick and George Jr. Zawacki.
THERE IS NO PRIOR VISITATION. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 9, at 10:30 AM in Divine Mercy Parish, 24th and Niagara Sts., with Reverend Jacek Mazur officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Burial to follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements were entrusted to ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME INC.
