Jennie Z. Knepp

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Jennie Z. (Patterson) Knepp, 90 years old, passed away on January 9, 2013 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport. She was born in Tousey, KY on May 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Gordon and Rhea (Allen) Patterson.
Mrs. Knepp moved from Kentucky to Pennsylvania in 1945 and came to Niagara Falls in 1953. She worked as a waitress from 1964 until 1979 at the Chateau Diner, the Markee Restaurant and the Clifton Coffee Shop. Mrs. Knepp was a member of the LaSalle Church of Christ and for the past several years she attended DeGraff Adult Day Care.
Mrs. Knepp is survived by her children, Curtis P. Knepp of Maryland, Deloris Burns of Ohio, Ruth Knepp, Bernice Maggard and Deborah (Kenneth) Friend, all of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Irene Willis of Kentucky; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth P. Knepp, who passed away in 1989; her daughters, Joann Newbury and Mary Ellen McCalister; and her eight brothers.
Friends may call at the LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 356 Portage Road on Friday from 4-7 PM. where a prayer service will be held at 7 PM by Ronald Cameron. Interment in Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens, Elizabethtown, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice House, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
