Louis C. Cubello

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Louis C. Cubello, 82, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 10, 2013. Mr. Cubello was born on February 4, 1930 at Memorial Hospital; son of the late Mary Bettis and Angelino Cubello. He resided in both Niagara Falls, NY and most recently Las Vegas, NV. Louis married Olga T. Gonzalez (deceased) on November 25, 1950 at Our Lady of Lebanon Church.
Louis was retired from Hooker Chemical where he spent time as a Mason and later joined the Carpenter shop. He was a member of the 136th Fighter Squad of the US Air Force, and coached a womens softball team for Hooker Chemical while employed there. He was a member of the Musicians Local Union in Niagara Falls. When Louis moved to Las Vegas, he worked in the Race and Sports Book at the Mirage Hotel until another retirement. He loved playing bingo, golf, dancing and spending time with his family in both Las Vegas and Niagara Falls. When visiting Niagara Falls, he enjoyed meeting his friends for breakfast at the Market Place.
Louis is survived by three children; daughters, Paula (Brian) McCrea, Nancy (Seferino) Romero of Las Vegas, NV; and son, Robert (MaryAnn) Cubello of Youngstown, NY; his sister, Joanne Cubello of Los Angeles, CA and predeceased by sister, Marie (Armond) Granieri; grandchildren, Jesse Stapleton, Matthew McCrea, Samantha Romero, all who reside in Las Vegas and Janine Cubello of Youngstown, NY; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
The family will be present to receive friends Saturday morning 9:00-10:00 AM at SPALLINO-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1300 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, where Funeral Services will follow at 10:00 AM. Rev. Stewart M. Lindsay, OSFS. officiating. Friends invited. Private entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers gratefully declined.
