Mary Jane Belin Mitravich

NIAGARA FALLS —

Mary Jane (Drabczyk) Belin Mitravich, age 66, entered into heavenly rest on Tuesday, February 19, 2013. A lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. Born on February 16, 1947, the daughter of the late Stephen "Rusty" and Anna (Gadacz) Drabczyk.
Mrs. Mitravich attended local schools, including Trott Vocational and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She also attended Cornell University where she received her degree in Food Processing and was the owner and operator of Pete's Peppers from 1990 to 2002, which were well-known throughout local taverns and restaurants. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary Jane further enjoyed cooking, working on her computer, playing bingo, basket making and raising her two dogs, Neechi and Nico. In addition, she was an avid Bills fan. She was predeceased by her husband of twenty years, Robert E. Belin, with whom she had three children.
She is survived by her husband of twenty-four years, Peter A. Mitravich, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY; her daughters, Madeline B. Coffman and Tara L. Belin; and son, Stephen M. Belin, all of Niagara Falls, NY; her grandchildren, Bobbiejo, Johnny and Cody Coffman of Niagara Falls, NY, and Brittany Belin Cole of Alden, NY; and several great-grandchildren. Mary Jane is also step-mother to Chrissy Belin Hosey, Annette Belin and Michael, Amy, Rachel Mitravich and Pam (Michael) Maurer. Special niece, Shelley Spillman and great-grandson, Michael Stone, Jr. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, step-grandchildren; and her dearest friends, Roxanne Morgan and Cheryl (Doug) Wagner/Proctor. Besides her parents and first husband, Mary Jane was predeceased by her sisters, Bernice Carlino, Delores Bernat; and brother, Ronald Drabczyk.
Friends may call on Sunday, February 24th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at ZAJAC FUNERAL HOME, INC., 319-24th St., corner Welch Ave., Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 24th and Niagara Sts., with Rev. Andrew Lauricella officiating. Burial following in St. Michael's Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association Hearts Gifts Processing Center, PO Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049.
