Jan P. Seel-Kurdziel (nee Jones), March 3, 2013, of Cheektowaga, NY, after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Westfield, MA, she was the beloved wife of Michael R. Kurdziel; dearest mother of Miranda DalPorto and Christopher Seel, Jr.; loving grandmother of Chloe Tonellato; sister of Bridget (Robert) Schroeder, Lynn (Gene) Cummings and Paula (Michael) Alexander, Debbie (Scott) Dyson, Sue Larocque and George (late Jennifer) Larocque III; daughter-in-law of Rita Kurdziel; daughter of George (Joyce) Larocque and Theresa Jones; also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral services commencing at the DANIEL R. SMOLAREK FUNERAL HOME, 2510 Union Rd., Cheektowaga (2 blocks south of William St.), Thursday at 9 AM and in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Cheektowaga at 9:30 AM. The family will be present to receive friends Wednesday 4-8 PM.
Jan was a retiree of the City of Niagara Falls Police Dept., was a 1975 graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School and enjoyed cooking, reading and spending time with her family.
