Carlyle Lavern Miller

NIAGARA FALLS — On October 22, 2012, Carlyle Lavern Miller, while surrounded by his loved ones, was called to be with our heavenly Father. Born February 8, 1935, the son of the late Will and Savannah (Blalock) Miller.

Carl was a US Army veteran serving from 1954-1957, and a reservist until his discharge in 1962. Mr. Miller was a longtime member of the New Hope Baptist Church.

He received his associate's degree from ECCC and worked as an engineering associate for       Praxair, until his retirement in 1998.

Carl was a golf enthusiast and could be found many days on any of the area greens, including Myrtle Beach. Mr Miller was an analytical thinker and enjoyed building television sets from kits.

Surviving is his wife of 42 years, Pauline (Cumberbatch); three nieces, Beverly, Crystal and Wendy Stephens; and a host of other relatives and friends. His sister, Georgian Miller-Stephens, predeceased him along with one nephew, Joseph Anthony Stephens.

Visitation, Friday 11 AM in the New Hope Baptist Church. Funeral to follow at Noon. Burial with military honor guard in Riverdale. Arrangements by WILLIAMSON FUNERAL HOME, 635 Main Street.
