NIAGARA FALLS —
Adeline B. Murray, of Niagara Falls, died Sunday, September 16, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, while under care from Niagara Hospice. She was born in Lockport, NY on February 5, 1918, a daughter of the late William and Irene (Donahue) Brokenshire.
Mrs. Murray was a graduate of Tonawanda High School, the Stratford Business School and the International Academy of Beauty Culture. She was employed as a secretary at the Remington Rand Company in Tonawanda. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish at Prince of Peace Church. She served as a den mother with the Cub Scouts, a school monitor and enjoyed reading and music.
Mrs. Murray is survived by her son, Kevin Murray and daughter, Kathleen (Alan) Nelson, all of Wheatfield; her grandson, Thomas P. Nelson of Niagara Falls, NY; brother-in-law, Edward Borro of Lancaster; and sister in law, Evelyn Murray of Prince Edward Island. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Cornelius W. Murray; her brother, William Brokenshire and sister, Gloria Borro.
Private services will be today for the family with burial in Mount Olivet R.C. Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda, NY. If desired, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094; or to St. Vincent de Paul R.C. Church. Arrangements are being handled by LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC.
