LTC. Robert A. Brown, USAR

NIAGARA FALLS — LTC. Robert A. Brown, USAR, age 81, of Wheatfield, entered into rest on March 13, 2013, at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on November 11, 1931, he was the son of the late Charles and Edna (Kline) Brown.  Robert was a graduate of LaSalle High School and while employed at the former Nabisco Shredded Wheat, attended and graduated from Niagara University. He was employed for over 20 years at the Niagara County Waste Water Treatment Plant, retiring in 1998. Robert was also a substitute     teacher for the Niagara Wheatfield School District.  He was a U.S. Army veteran, a graduate from Command & Staff, at Fort Levenworth, KS, and taught C&GS in the 1151st School. Robert was a member of St. John de LaSalle Church, the Wheatfield Seniors, and a former member of the Wheatfield Democratic Club. Hobbies and interest included military history, traveling and feeding the birds.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Helen D. (Krupa) Brown; they were united in marriage on April 11, 1955; two sons, Robert Mark Brown (Cathy Clement) of Lockport and Darryl C. Brown of NC; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Karen Krupa of NC; and four grand-animals, Chloe, Cana, Jontalla and Tamara.

Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz), in     Wheatfield on Tuesday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM in St. John de LaSalle Church, 8627 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Everyone please assemble at the church. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, with full military honors.
