Joseph "Joe" Futino

NIAGARA FALLS, ON —  

After a short battle with cancer, Joe passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Monday November 26, 2012, at the age of 72. 
Beloved husband of 51 years to Philomena (Mannella) Futino. Dearly loved father of Jackie (Michael) Radomski, Anthony (Lynda) Futino, Joseph, Jr. (Carmelina) Futino, Maria ((Rocky) Vacca and Lisa (Paul) Brown. Cherished Grandpa of Jordan, Rebecca and Stephanie Radomski, Matthew, Joseph and Samantha Futino, Olivia, Dean and Victoria Vacca and Meghan Brown. Dear brother of Carmelina (the late Tony) Guarasci, Egidio (Anna) Futino, Rose (the late Emanuele) Vommero, Frank (Frances) Futino and Pat (Franca) Futino. Dear brother-in-law of Tony (Lidia) Mannella, Diamondo Dee (Donna) Mannella, Vincent (Franca) Mannella, and  Rita (Domenic) Mazzotta. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Giacomina Futino, his in-laws Salvatore and Maria Mannella, his brother-in-law Victor Mannella and sister-in-law Mary Daniele. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Futino had worked at Mount Carmel Spiritual Centre, retiring after 42 years of service. He was also active in the community having served as a Scout Leader for 30 years at Our Lady of Peace Church and was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus Hennepin Assembly who bestowed upon him a lifetime achievement award. He was also an active parishioner and usher at St. Thomas More Church and he will be remembered by many for his restoration of historic cars.
Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, Ontario, visiting on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas More Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. The Vigil for Mr. Futino will be celebrated Thursday at 3:30 PM at the funeral home. In memory of Mr. Futino, donations to the Matthew Daniele Memorial Fund or the Nick Roma Fund would be appreciated by his family.
