Carol Ann Wilson

ASHTABULA, OH — Carol Ann Wilson, 70, of Silvieus Dr., Ashtabula, OH, entered into rest with the Lord on Sunday (Dec. 2, 2012), at the Ashtabula County Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 17, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of Thomas and Rose (Denitto) Mariano.

She had been employed with SCM in Ashtabula in accounts payable until her retirement in 1996. She was a lifetime member of the Ashtabula American Legion Dewey Howlett Post #103 Auxiliary. She enjoyed "The Facebook", cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Wilson, whom she married June 13, 1980; two sons, Dennis "Mike" (Paula) Ahlstrom of North Kingsville, OH and Darren (Cindy) Ahlstrom of Cortland, OH; five grandchildren, Erin, Neil and Alanis Ahlstrom; and Derrick and Melissa McFarland, and four great-grandchildren, Arianna, Rey and Kane McFarland; and Liam Kerns, all of Ashtabula, OH; three sisters, Marlene Ruppert of Texas; Shirley Stirling of New York; and Delores (Frank) Stiller of Washington; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Wednesday (Dec. 5th) at 11:00 AM, at the Ashtabula Home of Fleming & Billman Funeral Directors, 526 West Prospect Rd., Ashtabula, OH, with Rev. Frank Stiller officiating. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville. Calling hours will be Tuesday (Dec. 4th) from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home, and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 1166 Lake Ave., Ashtabula, OH 44004.
