LEWISTON —
Helen (Swalina) Czapla, 88 years old, passed away on December 30, 2012. She was born in Lewiston, NY, on June 15, 1924, the daughter of the late Peter and Josephine (Zugay) Swalina.
Mrs. Czapla attended the Red Brick School House in Lewiston. On October 8, 1949, she was married to Stanley Czapla in Holy Trinity Church. She enjoyed gardening, taking rides in the country and hunting and fishing with her husband.
Mrs. Czapla is survived by her husband of 63 years, Stanley Czapla; and her sons, Thomas (Karen) Czapla of Lancaster, PA and David Czapla of Niagara Falls. She is also survived by her grandsons, Steven Czapla, Kenneth Czapla and Casey (Meghan) Czapla; and her great-grandson, Carter. Mrs. Czapla was predeceased by her grandson, Dustin; and her sister, Jennie Obidzinski.
There is no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday at 12 noon at the Holy Trinity Cemetery Chapel, 5401 Robert Street, Lewiston, with Deacon David Slish officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery. ARRANGEMENTS BY THE LABUDA FUNERAL HOME, INC.
