BUFFALO —
Edna M. Printup, of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2013, in the Eric County Medical Center, Buffalo, NY.
She was a member of the Snipe Clan, born in Niagara Falls, NY, on January 6, 1950, the daughter of the late Stanley and Eliza (Cusick) Moses.
Edna was a cleaner at the Tuscarora Indian School for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, doing beadwork and bowling.
Edna was the wife of the late Emmett Printup.
She is survived by one daughter, Elena (Wayne) Rice; two step-sons, Emmett (Tracy) Printup and Elliott Printup; a step-daughter, Evelyn Printup; six grandchildren, Elexis, Elijha, Eliza, Evonne, Ethan, Emma; three great-grandchildren, Hugh, Aaliyah, Harlen J.; one brother, Eugene "Oscar" Moses. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Edna was the mother of the late Eileen Printup and sister of the late Jesse and Jimmy Moses, Carol Patterson, Clara Moses, Yvonne Leighton and Reva Williams.
The family will be present on Wednesday from 10-12:00 PM at the Tuscarora Indian Mission, 5035 Walmore Road, Sanborn, NY, where funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Donald A. Robinson, Jr. officiating. Inurnment in Mt. Hope Cemetery on the Tuscarora Nation. Arrangements were made through the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, Sanborn, NY.
