Caesar Serianni

NIAGARA FALLS —  

Caesar Serianni, a longtime resident of Niagara Falls, died on Friday, January 18, 2013 at home. He was 85. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 25, 1927, the son of Charles and Caroline (Caterisano) Serianni.
Caesar attended local schools, graduating from the former Trott Vocational High School. A veteran of WW II, USN, Mr. Serianni worked for Nabisco Shredded Wheat for many years, retiring in the early 1990's. He remained very active during his golden years, enjoying the outdoors, fishing and hunting. He also loved to bake delicious sweet bread sharing it with his many dear friends and family, making pizzas and cooking. He and his wife, Margaret enjoyed traveling out of state visiting their children and grandchildren. Together, they also enjoyed card playing with their dear friends and Caesar looked forward to the occasional visits to OTB.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Margaret (Vanoni) Serianni; his two children, Sandra Fellows (Dennis) of Wrentham, MA and Frederick Serianni (Elizabeth) of Mi-Wuk Village, CA; grandchildren, Jenny, Erin, Andy, Cooper and Emma; his great-grandson, Cameron; his nephew, Robert Costanzo (Kathy) and their children, Francesa "Frankie", Vincenza "Vinnie" and Bobby Costanzo, whom he loved to babysit in his retirement years. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers.
There will be no prior visitation. Memorial Services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in St. John de LaSalle R.C. Church, 8477 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls. Interment will be in St. Stephan's R.C. Cemetery, Grand Island. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Shrine or to a charity of one's choice. The LANE FUNERAL HOME, Inc., is handing the funeral arrangements.
