SARASOTA, FL —
Harry Becker died, peacefully, Nov. 20, 2012, in Sarasota, FL, at the age of 94. Born July 12, 1918 in St. Louis, MO.
Cherished father of Linda Becker Saltzman of Teaneck, NJ and Andrea Becker of Toronto, Ontario. Proud grandfather of Lauren Saltzman of New York City. Loving and devoted partner of Shirley Levine of Sarasota, FL. Predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Mimi Mack Becker; sister, Rose Becker Stoller and brother, Daniel Becker. Also survived by an extraordinary network of caring nieces and nephews.
Mr. Becker was a retail merchant in Western New York who owned and operated, among other businesses, Mack-Friedman in Niagara Falls and The Jenny Shop in Buffalo. Mr. Becker was an avid golfer, who scored his first and only hole-in-one when he was in his 80s on the Longboat Key Club Harbourside course. His charm, wit and wisdom will be missed by many.
