LEWISTON —
Robert C Fowle, of Youngstown, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, NY.
He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, June 25, 1935, the son of the late Charles and Isabelle (Gibbon) Fowle.
Mr. Fowle graduated from Trott Vocational High School. He was a welder with Olin Corporation for over 18 years, before retiring in 1990.
He was member of Olin Retirement Club and the Niagara Sportsman Club. He was an avid sportsman.
Mr. Fowle loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed riding his bike.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sally (Jacobs) Fowle; his four children, Robert Fowle of Youngstown, NY; Eileen (Mike) Batchen of Tonawanda, NY; Karen (Ed) Linnane of Lewiston, NY; and Scott (Annemarie) Fowle of Niagara Falls, NY; three grandsons, Joshua Fowle of Lewiston; Scott and Sean Fowle, both of Niagara Falls, NY; two brothers, Raymond (Eileen) Fowle of British Columbia, Canada; and Charles (Nancy) Fowle of Lockport, NY; also several nieces and nephews.
The family will be present on Saturday from 3-6 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 901 Cayuga Street, LEWISTON, NY, where funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM, with the Rev. Michael P. Zuffoletto officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in his name to St. Jude Foundation or to the American Lung Association. Inurnment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
