CAPTAIN ALBERT P. D'ERRICO, JR.


Captain Albert P. D’Errico, Jr., passed away September 9, 2008 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, LA. Born in Dallas, TX to Albert P. and Carol (nee Van Etten) D’Errico, Albert was a graduate of the University of Georgia, Whittier College and the US Merchant Marine Academy. He was employed by the State of Louisiana as a Psychologist. He was also a Captain in the Merchant Marines.

Albert was a lifetime learner with numerous degrees such as Masters in Business Administration, Doctorate in Psychology and Theology. He had numerous accomplishments in the US Merchant Marine Academy, while rising through the ranks to become a Captain in the US Merchant Marines.

He was involved in many community activities such as Naval Order of the US, Alliance Francaise, American Radio Relay League, Quarter Century Wireless Association and the Ombudsman with the Dale Association.

Albert is survived by his wife, Marilyn P. Brown-D'Errico; step-children, Thomas White of Georgia, Alice Scott of Georgia, Tye Brown of Texas and Bill Brown of Louisiana; also survived by step-grand- children.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 PM at Forest Lawn Cemetery. (Please assemble at main gate). On-line register at www.Amigone.com.
