n Final day of the Youth Waterfowl Hunt Weekend, allowing junior hunters age 12 to 15 to hunt ducks, coots, mergansers and Canada geese prior to the opening of the season. They must be licensed and accompanied by a licensed hunter. Daily bag limits are the same as during the regular season. n Pheasant hunting opens in Western New York. The northern part of this area (along the Lake Ontario plains) is cocks only through Nov. 20. The Southern Tier section is either sex and will continue through Dec. 31. Two birds may be harvested per day per hunter.
n Southern Zone special early archery season for deer, as well as for bear in the Catskill and Allegany Zones.
n Fall foliage along the Upper Great Gorge Trail from 2 to 4 p.m. out of Niagara Falls State Park. For more information and registration call 282-5154.
