n Final day, muskellunge season under general angling regulations. Some waters, such as the lower Niagara River and Lake Ontario into the St. Lawrence River, are still open until Dec. 15.
n The regular statewide bass season closes after today in all New York waters. Starting Dec. 1, bass season will remain open in most New York waters, but for catch and release fishing only. Please consult your regulations guide for waters not open for this special season option.
n Final day of tiger muskellunge season in the Great Lakes.
Tuesday
n Lake trout season opens in the Province of Ontario waters.
n The Niagara Musky Association will hold their monthly meeting at the Knights of Columbus, 55 Main St., Tonawanda starting at 7 p.m.
Wednesday
n Pioneer Conservation Sportsmen of WNY will hold their monthly meeting at the 3-F Club located at 904 Swann Road, Lewiston starting at 10:30 a.m. They will be holding elections and their annual Christmas gathering. For more info call Don Clark at 791-4628.
n Brauer’s Restaurant Fishing Club monthly meeting on Campbell Blvd., Pendleton starting at 8 p.m. New members are welcome.
n Ribbon Cutting Ceremony of the newly renovated launch ramp at the Village of Lewiston Landing at 2 p.m.
Thursday
n Ice Fishing Seminar with local expert Joe Mongomery at the CAW Hall, 124 Bunting Road, St. Catharines, Ont.. Door open at 6 p.m. Program begins at 7 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults; $12 for seniors. Children 8 and under are free. For more info call Joe Montgomery at 905-356-0303.
Friday
n Make your own candle lantern at Deveaux Woods State Park from 7 to 9 p.m. Then join park naturalists for a walk in the park at night and enjoy the glow from your lanterns. Call 282-5154 to register or for more information.

n Final day, Western Zone duck, coot and merganser season
n 3-F Club Winter Skeet League starts up. Cost is $7 per week. Teams or individuals may register anytime up to when the six scores need to be posted by. Unlimited shoot aheads. Six scores must be in place by Jan. 24, 2010. Stop down to the club at 904 Swann Road, Lewiston any time.
