Sunday

n New York State Free Fishing Days weekend around the state. No fishing license is required by anyone, but you must following fishing regulations in the waters you intend to fish. Both Saturday and Sunday. Call DEC at 851-7010 for more information.

n Deuces Bar second annual bass contest from sunrise to 3 p.m. Weigh-in at the Royal Avenue tavern from 2 to 3 p.m. Cost is $20 per person. Best three fish wins total weight. Top four places will be paid out.

Tuesday

n Niagara County Fisheries Development Board monthly meeting at the Town of Lockport offices, Old Beattie and Dysinger roads, Lockport, starting at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Snyder Room.

Wednesday

n Black Bear Public Informational Meeting at the North Forest Rod and Gun Club, 5247 Old Niagara Road, Lockport, from 7 to 9 p.m. Call 851-7010 for more information.

n Archery Hunter Education Class at the LaSalle Sportsmen’s Club, with registration starting at 6:30 p.m. sharp. Parts 2 and 3 will be July 8 and 11.

The July 8 times are 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., while the July 11 session will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. All students should be at least 11-3/4 years of age, and students must attend all sessions. Class size is limited to the first 40 students. For more info call 297-0410 after 4 p.m.

n Black Bear Public Informational Meeting at the Julia Boyer Reinstein Public Library, 1030 Losson Road, Cheektowaga, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Call 851-7010 for more information.
