NIAGARA FALLS —
Falls police are investigating a shooting in the 400 block alley of 18th Street on Saturday night.
However, officers say while they have a suspect, they can’t find the shooting victim.
Officers said they were in the 1700 block of Niagara Street at 10 p.m. Saturday when they saw what appeared to be 40 to 50 people outside a multi-unit home engaged in some sort of dispute. As the officers turned their patrol car around to investigate the situation they heard six gunshots and then saw a man fall in the 18th Street alley.
The apparent victim then got up and began to run toward 19th Street, where he disappeared.
Police say they have identified the suspected shooter.
