BLOTTER: Police reports published Nov. 9

Niagara Falls

BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 3400 block of Ninth Street. A 25-year-old man told officers that sometime between Nov. 1 and noon Monday, someone broke into his apartment through an unlocked window. The victim said a laptop computer, a TV and 100 DVDs were taken.

THEFT: Officers are looking into a theft, by an employee, from a store in the 1500 block of Military Road. An asset protection manager told police that on two occasions in September, the employee, a cashier, failed to scan items for three female customers as they were checking out. The value of the unscanned merchandise was over $578.

MARIJUANA: Justin Wade Hillman, 17, 6331 South Whitham Drive, Niagara Falls, was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana Wednesday. A Niagara County Sheriff's deputy said he was called to Niagara Academy to speak with a student that was returning from a suspension and discovered that Hillman had left at lunchtime with another student and smoked marijuana in his car. Hillman admitted to going to the Tuscarora Reservation to smoke, the report said. A pipe and small bag of marijuana was found in his car.
