Niagara Falls

BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 600 block of Orchard Parkway. A woman told officers she was in her home at 8:22 p.m. Sunday and when she walked into the kitchen she saw a man trying to snatch a laptop computer off a table. The suspect entered the home though an unlocked door. When the victim confronted the suspect, he dropped the computer but grabbed her purse and ran from the home. 

ARREST: A Falls man was arrested on multiple charges after a domestic incident in the 2400 block of Niagara Avenue at 1:40 a.m. Monday. Joseph L. Szwalla, 28, 28 D Packard Court, was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of forcible touching, second-degree criminal contempt, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and attempted fourth-degree criminal mischief.

ARREST: A Grand Island woman was arrested on drunken driving charges after a traffic stop in the 9000 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 2:20 a.m. Monday. Amanda K. MacGregor, 34, 179 Gregory Place, was charged with two counts of driving while intoxicated.

Lewiston

DWI: Sean C. Riordan, 20, 2749 Stony Point Road, Grand Island, was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation/alcohol related, criminal possession of a controlled substance and speeding on Sunday. According to the report, Riordan was spotted driving east on Saunders Settlement Road going 59 mph in a 45 mph zone. Riordan was operating the vehicle with a revoked license for an alcohol-related offense. Deputies found several yellow pills on the passenger floor in plain view. The markings were verified by poison control as a possible controlled substance, the report said.
