BLOTTER: Police reports published Jan. 27, 2012

NIAGARA FALLS — A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at noon Wednesday. Raymond Calvin Wolbert, 56, 1919 Niagara St. Apt. 1, was charged with petit larceny. A store security officer told police that Wolbert took four frozen steaks and four bags of frozen shrimp without paying for the items.

• ARREST: Two Falls teenagers were arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 7200 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday. Kathid T. Metz, 17, and Kaylara C. Metz, 18, both of  628 Ninth St., were charged with petit larceny. A store manager told police that both teens put over $69 worth of bulk candy in their purses and then tried to leave the store without paying for it.

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 1800 block of 19th Street. A 63-year-old man told officers that sometime between 5 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Wednesday, someone broke into his property by unknown means. The victim said six radiators and a motor for a hospital bed were taken.

• ROBBERY: Officers are looking into a robbery at Packard Court. A 43-year-old woman told police she was walking to her apartment at 8 p.m. Wednesday, when a car with two male suspects in it pulled into the parking lot. One of the suspects got out of the car and pushed the victim to the ground, then grabbed her purse. The suspect grabbed cash from the purse, then got back in the car and drove away.

• THEFT: Police are investigating a purse snatching incident in the 300 block of Sixth Street at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday. A 44-year-old woman told officers she was getting into her car when a male suspect grabbed her purse and ran away.

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after being caught during a burglary in the 400 block of 23rd Street. Henry Richard Krawczyk, 54, 5659 John Ave., was charged with second-degree burglary, possession of burglar tools, petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest, reckless driving, unreasonable speed, wrong way on a one way street, failure to stop at stop sign and failure to signal. Officers said they responded to a burglary in progress call at 10 p.m. Wednesday and were told a suspect had fled the scene in a green colored GMC Jimmy. The suspect’s vehicle was spotted on Niagara Street and officers followed it through the South End. Roving Anti-Crime Unit officers intercepted the SUV on Hyde Park Boulevard near Sal Maglie Stadium and took Krawczyk into custody on Robbins Drive. A tenant of a home on 23rd Street told police she was coming home and found Krawczyk and two other men leaving her residence. At the time, Krawczyk was attempting to leave the house with a computer monitor and an Xbox 360 game system.
