BLOTTER: Police reports published Jan. 5

— Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: Police are investigating a burglary in the 2200 block of Michigan Avenue. A 40-year-old woman told officers that sometime around 10:53 a.m. Thursday, three suspects broke into her home by kicking in the rear door. The break-in was witnessed by a neighbor. A 42-inch TV was taken.

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a supermarket in the 1000 block of Portage Road at noon Thursday. Juan Jose Martinez, 35, 520 Sixth St., was charged with petit larceny. Martinez is accused of taking sunglasses, cough drops and an eye cleaner kit without paying for them.

• ARREST: A Falls man was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a supermarket in the 1000 block of Portage Road at 3:40 p.m. Thursday. Harold Corley, 64, 1643 Eighth St., was charged with petit larceny. Corley is accused of taking a can of beer without paying for it.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a supermarket in the 1000 block of Portage Road at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. Sarah C. Feth, 23, 1642 Michigan Ave., was charged with petit larceny. Feth is accused of taking more than $34 worth of merchandise without paying for it.

• ARRESTS: A Falls couple was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a supermarket in the 1000 block of Portage Road at 5:30 p.m. Thursday. Stephanie L. Hubler, 32, 2013 13th St. and Nicholas A. Arterberry, 37, 1135 North Ave., were each charged with petit larceny. The pair are accused of taking almost $90 worth of groceries without paying for them.
