BLOTTER: Police reports published Dec. 19

Niagara Falls

• INCIDENT: Falls police are investigating a report of a person shot at on the 1100 block of Linwood Avenue about 6:15 p.m. Monday. Police had trouble contacting the apparent victim, who was not hit by the gunfire. The shooting apparently followed an argument. Witnesses said the suspect fled in a red Chrysler with Virginia license plates.

 
• VANDALISM: A resident on the 2900 block of Main Street reported to police that they saw someone smash out the windows of a ‘98 Pontiac Bonneville. After damaging the car, the suspect got into a maroon Chrysler Sebring with Virginia plates. The estimated damage is $1,500.

 
• BURGLARY: Police were called to a Sixth Street home about 6 p.m. Monday where a resident reported that two TVs were taken while she was at work. There was no signs of forced entry. A 47-inch TV and 42-inch TV were taken. The estimated loss is $1,800.

 
• VANDALISM: Police were called to the 200 block of First Street about 11 p.m. Monday where a security guard reported his car was broken into while it was parked in a lot. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

 
• VANDALISM: A resident on the 2400 block of Ontario Avenue told police that sometime over the weekend, someone poured sugar in the gas tank of their car. The estimated damage is $300.
