BLOTTER: Police reports published March 21

Niagara Falls

• ASSAULT: Police are investigating an assault in the area of Cedar Avenue and Whirlpool Street. A 54-year-old man told officers he was attacked at 11:30 p.m. Monday by a man that he “owes money to.” The victim said he believes the suspect struck him repeatedly in the head and elsewhere with a pipe. Police said the victim had injuries on the left side of his body that did not appear to be life-threatening. The victim was uncooperative with officers and would not identify his attacker.

 
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 400 block of Ninth Street. A 66-year-old man told police that he woke up in his home at 1:30 a.m. Tuesday and was confronted by three men. The suspects forced the victim into a bedroom closet and then took a 60-inch TV, a cell phone and a credit card. 

 
• ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery in the 1600 block of Eighth Street. A 35-year-old man told officers he heard a knock at his apartment door at 5 a.m. Tuesday and when he answered the door he was confronted by three men, one of whom pointed a pistol at his head. The suspects forced their way into the apartment and the victim said all of the men were armed. Inside the apartment, the suspects demanded drugs from the victim and two of them began to search the residence. In the course of the search, the suspects encountered a woman in the apartment and the victim said when he tried to intervene he was pistol-whipped. The woman was also reportedly pistol-whipped. The suspects took some prescription drugs from a bathroom and then fled.

 
• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1000 block of Pine Avenue at 12:45 p.m. Tuesday. Patricia M. Davis, 23, 571 Third St., was charged with petit larceny. She is accused of taking more than $33 worth of hair care products without paying for them.

 
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 1900 block of Cudaback Avenue. A 22-year-old woman told police that sometime between noon Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday someone broke into her home by forcing open the front door. The victim said three flatscreen TVs and a DVD player were taken. Someone also broke into the victim’s 1994 Chevy Suburban van that was parked at her home by smashing five windows on the vehicle. The victim said the vehicle’s entire stereo system was taken.

 
• ARREST: A Grand Island woman was arrested after a shoplifting incident at a store in the 1500 block of Military Road at 5 p.m. Tuesday. Khaliah M. Ford, 19, 1897 Bedell Road, was charged with petit larceny, She is accused of taking more than $13 worth of merchandise without paying for it.
