• CHARGED: Raymond D. Austin, 22, 415 16th St., Apt. 2, was charged with petit larceny about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to Falls police. Management at a Pine Avenue convenience store told police Austin had been taking lottery tickets while an employee there. Video surveillance of Austin taking $100 worth of lottery tickets in a shift was provided to police as well. When charged by police, officers said Austin had three lottery tickets in his possession that he had not paid for.
• THEFT: Staff at an Ontario Avenue soup kitchen reported to police Tuesday that sometime between 8 and 11:45 a.m. a laptop computer was taken from an office. The victim said the door was locked when they left the office and it was locked when they returned to find the computer missing. Staff said it's the second such incident involving something taken from the office and the lock had been changed. The estimated loss is $500.
• THEFT: A Falls resident told police someone broke into their car and took a travel bag containing $90, a checkbook and credit cards about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday while it was parked outside a restaurant on the 6500 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. Police are awaiting video surveillance of the area from the restaurant.
• BURGLARY: A Falls man told police that someone broke into his mom’s house through a basement window between Sunday and Wednesday and took $7,000 in car equipment he was storing in the basement. Items taken include 24-inch rims, 12-inch Alpine speakers and an 8-inch Alpine TV.
Pendleton
• POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL: Eric R. Bellardini, 18, 6808 Tonawanda Creek Road, Lockport; Michaela M. Eisenhauer, 18, 6555 Emily Lane, Lockport; Timothy J. Hubbard, 17, 4086 Beach Ridge Road, Pendleton; Dylan J. Lampka, 18, 3967 Hill Road, Wheatfield and Alan H. Reimer Jr., 17, 7281 Lakeview Court, Pendleton were all charged at 11:55 p.m. Saturday with unlawful possession of alcohol by a person under 21. Patrol responded to 5865 Dunnigan Road for a report of an underage party. Patrol found 10 people at the home consuming alcohol and collected identification from everyone there. None were over the age of 21. A resident of the home said her mother was at her boyfriend's and had given her permission to have a few people over. Deputies asked who brought the Bud Light and Natural Ice beer for them to drink, but no one replied. All five were released on appearance tickets.
