• ASSAULT: Three Niagara Falls men were charged with third-degree assault after an altercation around 3 a.m. Saturday in the 2100 block of Main Street. Those charged were: Luigi Mario Fagiani, 19, 3008 Lockport Road; Kyle William Murray, 19, 7201 Porter Road, Apt. 2; and Michael Jerome Crumpton, 19, 1359 Calumet Ave. The victim told police he was leaving a bar when he was confronted by three males and punched. While police were arresting Fagiani, Murray told officers, “He didn’t hit the kid, I did.” The victim, who was treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, identified the suspects.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A woman told police someone broke the passenger side rear vent window and damaged the steering column of her vehicle between 9 p.m. Thursday and 12:24 p.m. Saturday. The car was parked in the 8900 block of St. John’s Parkway. Damage was estimated at $550.
• CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: The manager of a business in the 7100 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard told police on Saturday morning that someone broke a window and stole four packs of cigarettes. Loss and damage were listed at $932. The incident occurred between 11:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday.
• ROBBERY: At 10:50 p.m. Friday, a person told police he was robbed at gunpoint in the 1500 block of Willow Avenue. The victim said he was making a food delivery when he was approached by two males. One of the suspects had a sawed-off shotgun. The victim was ordered by the suspects not to move. The suspects took $150 from him and struck him in the head with the butt end of the shotgun. The males then fled south, according to police reports. The victim was treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.
• BURGLARY: An air compressor and an air compressor hose were taken from a garage between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 7:056 p.m. Friday in the 5600 block of Devlin Avenue. The items were valued at $230.
North Tonawanda
• DWI: Robert O. McKinney, 22, 2655 Whirlpool St., Niagara Falls, was charged about 3:30 a.m. Saturday with aggravated DWI, speeding and an insufficient muffler following a traffic stop on River Road. His blood alcohol content was measured at 0.19 percent following a breath test. He is being held in lieu of $250 bail.
Town of Lockport
• MARIJUANA: Joseph S. Stopa, 23, 6388 Ridge Road, was charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration and unlawful possess of marijuana Saturday. The patrol responded to Lake Avenue for a vehicle blocking a roadway. The man standing next to the vehicle identified himself as Stopa and appeared to be highly intoxicated. He said his friend “Hernandez” was driving the vehicle when they hit a patch of ice and spun out. According to Stopa, they got into an argument, causing his friend to throw the keys and leave the area on foot. Another passenger went to get an extra set of keys, Stopa said. After the patrol could find no footprints, Stopa admitted that “Hernandez” did not exist but rather he and his brother were coming home from the Sabres game and had hit an ice patch in the road, causing the vehicle to spin out. The brothers argued and the brother threw the keys. The brother, who was the driver, returned to the scene. While officers were interviewing the brothers, Stopa was found with a clear plastic bag containing suspected marijuana. Stopa was placed under arrest for unlawful possession of marijuana and obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree.
