BLOTTER: Police reports published Sept. 26

Niagara Falls

 ROBBERY: Police are investigating a robbery at a convenience store in the 1500 block of Pine Avenue. A store clerk told officers that a man entered the store at 11:49 p.m. Monday and pulled out a folding or switchblade knife. The suspect demanded money and the clerk gave him an undisclosed amount of cash before the suspect fled from the store, heading eastbound. As the suspect left the store he told the clerk, "Thanks for being nice."

• THEFT: Officers are looking into a van break-in in the 2400 block of Forest Avenue. A 28-year-old man told police that sometime between 9 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday someone broke into his 2012 Ford Econoline van by popping the driver's side door look. The victim said a blow torch, an acetylene tank, some oxygen tanks, a large quantity of tools and some prescription pills were taken.

 ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after a domestic incident in the 1700 block of Ferry Avenue at 4:55 p.m. Monday. Monique Chavon Russell, 32, 1724 Ferry Ave., Apt. E-5, was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree menacing and second-degree harassment.

• LARCENY: A North Tonawanda man reported his nursing lab bag and five text books were stolen out of his locked locker at Niagara County Community College, Saunders Settlement Road, sometime between Sept. 19 and Tuesday. The man said two master locks were removed from his locker. The blue nursing lab bag contained a blood pressure cuff, a pen light and a scope; the bag, its contents and the textbooks together are valued at $750, according to the sheriff's report.
