Pill dealers arrested in Niagara Falls
Members of the Niagara Regional Police Niagara Falls Street Crime Unit wrapped up an undercover investigation in the city Thursday night by executing a controlled drugs and substances search warrant.
The raid took place at a Fraser Street address. As a result of the search, police seized 175 Oxycodone pills with a street value of $2,500.
Investigators also seized $900 in cash.
William Tozek, 52, and Melissa Hudson, 34, both of the Fraser Street address, were each charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. Hudson was also charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.

• THEFT: Police are looking for a suspect in a shoplifting incident in the 1800 block of Pine Avenue. A store cashier told officers a male suspect grabbed a display cell phone and then ran out of the business at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after she interfered with police as they tried to arrest a wanted fugitive. Kristy Lynn Gromell, 31, 9226 Niemel Drive, was charged with second-degree obstructing governmental administration and endangering the welfare of a child. Officers said Gromell refused to let them into her apartment on Friday afternoon to arrest a man with multiple outstanding arrest warrants. A young child was present in the apartment during the standoff.
• BURGLARY: Officers are looking into a burglary in the 700 block of Ferry Avenue. A property owner told police sometime between 10:15 and 11:27 a.m. Friday, someone broke into his home by breaking a basement window. The victim said more than $1,000 worth of copper pipe was taken.
• ARREST: A Falls teen was arrested on traffic and other charges. Brandon Felts, 18, 1955 Lockport Road, was charged with no seat belt, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and possession of an imitation controlled substance. Police said they stopped a car Felts was driving in the 1000 block of Michigan Avenue, at 11:45 a.m. Friday, because he wasn’t wearing a seat belt. Felt did not have a valid driver’s license and he had more than 10 grams of gank, or fake crack cocaine, in his possession.
