BLOTTER: Police reports published Aug. 25

NIAGARA FALLS — Niagara Falls

• ASSAULT: Police are investigating an assault near 70th Street and Edison Avenue. A 30-year-old woman told officers she was in the area at 8 p.m. Monday when she was attacked by another woman. The victim said she was punched in the face, pulled from a car and slammed to the pavement.

• ARREST: A Falls woman was arrested after she created a disturbance in the area of 20th Street and LaSalle Avenue at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Tosheana Briggs, 19, 2565 Falls St., Apt. 3, was charged with disorderly conduct.

• VANDALISM: Officers are looking into a theft from the clubhouse at the Hyde Park Golf Course. A course supervisor told police sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday someone took a picture off a wall in the clubhouse.

Wilson

• ACCIDENT: A South Wilson volunteer firefighter suffered a dislocated hip Monday morning after he was hit by a vehicle driven by another volunteer firefighter near 4210 Chestnut Road. According to dispatch via scanner, the victim was “alert and conscious” after he was hit by the driver while crossing the road. The victim was treated at Eastern Niagara Hospital-Newfane.

Wheatfield

• MARIJUANA: Tiffany M. Betton, 35, 618 30th St., Niagara Falls, was charged Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana. A report said deputies pulled Betton over on Williams Road and found she was in possession of $25 worth of marijuana. Betton said to deputies: “That must be my brother’s weed, because I don’t smoke.”
