BLOTTER: Police reports published March 7

Niagara Falls

• BURGLARY: A resident on the 1800 block of Niagara Street told police that sometime between 2 and 3:15 p.m. Tuesday someone had entered their apartment, ransacked it and took three TVs. Police are investigating if other items could have been taken as well. The estimated loss is $800.

 
• THEFT: A city resident reported to police Sunday that someone entered her unlocked car and took her wallet while the car was parked on 22nd Street. The woman said the wallet just contained her driver’s license and no cash.

 
• VANDALISM: A 92nd Street resident told police Tuesday that sometime between 2 and 10 p.m. Feb. 27 someone damaged the valve stem of their car parked on the street, flattening the tire. The resident said it could be related to problems with a neighbor.

• BURGLARY: A Robinson Road man reported Tuesday an unknown suspect entered his locked storage closet and stole machine parts valued at $1,500. It appears that the suspect picked the lock on the doorknob to enter the closet. The wooden door sustained $100 damage to the areas near the hinges. The parts stolen include several pistons, bearings, rods, a gasket set, a camshaft and rocker arms. The victim stated that the crime must have occurred sometime between two weeks ago and Tuesday morning. Patrol noticed that some of the other storage closets appeared to have been tampered with but it is unknown if the damage was there prior to this incident. No other reports have been filed.
