• ASSAULT: Police are investigating an assault at a business in the 9500 block of Niagara Falls Boulevard. A 25-year-old male said he was attacked and knocked to the ground by five males at 2 a.m. Saturday. The victim, who said he was kicked and punched, was treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for a fractured jaw and facial lacerations.
• ARREST: A Fourth Street man was arrested after he was tasered following a foot pursuit by police at 4:27 p.m. Friday. Michael Daniels, 625 Fourth St., was charged with obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and six vehicle and traffic violations, including driving while under the influence and failing to yield. Police said they attempted to pull Daniels over, when he sped away nearly striking an officer. He then left his vehicle and led officers on a foot chase.
• ARREST: A 27-year-old Niagara Falls man was arrested Friday after being found with a controlled substance. Troy Shepard, 8305 Buffalo Ave., was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence after officers pulled up next at 8:01 p.m. on 76th Street. They observed a man holding several white tablets and exchanging money with another male who was in the passenger seat. Police said as they opened the door they saw Shepard put pills into his mouth, which were later identified as Xanax and Somas. He was taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for treatment.
• DRUGS: A 25-year-old was arrested after police discovered a controlled substance in his vehicle at 10:25 p.m. Friday. Brandon Fava, 151 67th St., was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Police said they pulled Fava over for a stolen license plate attached to his vehicle, and found three different types of pills.
• ARREST: Four people were arrested after a disturbance at a business in the 200 block of Ferry Avenue. Charged with disorderly conduct were: Adrienne Phillips, 37, 72 Pooley Place, Buffalo; Lonnie Kinney, 32, 18 N. Pearl St., Buffalo; Staci Fischer, 24 231 Travers Circle, Amherst; and Jibreet Abdul-Nafi. Roving anti-crime officers arrived on scene at 2:13 a.m. Saturday and attempted to disperse a crowd of around 30 people. Several people failed to leave and began shouting and yelling obscenities toward police and were arrested.

• DWI: Jeffrey V. Salvatore, 52, 694 Mountain View Drive, Lewiston, was charged with driving while intoxicated and speeding Saturday. At 1:28 a.m. the patrol observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Ransomville Road at 43 mph in a 30 mph zone. He failed field sobriety tests and gave a positive breath screen on an Alco-Sensor, according to the report.
