Niagara Falls

• ASSAULT: Police are looking into an assault in Jordan Gardens. A 47-year-old Jordan Garden resident told police sometime between midnight and 12:15 a.m. Saturday he returned home from a bar and got into an argument with an unnamed suspect in his apartment, over the volume of the music he was playing. The argument escalated and the man was struck in the head with a bottle. He said he then left the scene and had pains in the area he was struck.

• ASSAULT: Police responded to a fight at a business in the 200 block of Ferry Ave. A 19-year-old female told police that between 2:15 and 2:26 a.m. Saturday she was drinking with a male friend when a girl began yelling and carrying on in her face. She said two of the girl’s friends approached and one hit her over the head with a bottle. Witnesses aid a fight ensued that led to security kicking two of the suspects out of the business. Police observed a four-inch laceration above the girl’s left eye.

• DWI: Police charged a 25-year old-male with driving while intoxicated, no seat belt and failure to signal. Police said they observed Walter Edwards, 768 19th St., making a left hand turn into an alley in the 1900 block of Forest Avenue at 11:30 p.m. Friday without signaling and no headlights. Police pulled him over and he claimed to have drank three beers in the past 10 minutes and said his New York State license had been suspended “a bunch of times.”

• BURGLARY: Police are looking into a burglary in the 900 block of Cedar Avenue. A 61-year-old male said between 9:10 and 10:36 p.m. he fell asleep in his apartment with the door unlocked and awoke to a female standing in his living room asking to use the bathroom. Then man said he asked the women to leave and later realized $30 was missing from his kitchen.

• ASSAULT: Police are looking into an assault in the 1300 block of Portage Road. A 59-year old man told police he was in a verbal argument with another man that escalated into a physical altercation. The suspect then bit the victim’s finger requiring stitches.

North Tonawanda

• DWI: Eric S. Kozakiewicz, 26, 3361 Sandy Beach Road, Grand Island, was charged at 4:39 a.m. Saturday with DWI, speeding and failure to keep right following a traffic stop on Thompson Street. Kozakiewicz refused a breath test and is being held in lieu of $250 bail.
