Niagara Gazette — Myron Respress fell off the local basketball map when he stopped playing for Niagara Falls High School four years ago.
He’ll reappear tonight when Bethune-Cookman opens its regular season at St. Bonaventure.
Respress left NFHS after his sophomore year, earned his General Education Development diploma, and had a standout two-year career at the City College of San Francsico before becoming the latest Cataract City player to receive a Division I basketball scholarship.
The 6-foot-8 center helped CCSF to its first state championship since 1962 as a freshman and was an honorable mention on the Coast-North conference team as a sophomore.
