Four local offices ready for rush
With shipping deadlines for Christmas fast approaching, residents can avoid the lines at the main locations in LaSalle and downtown Niagara Falls and also mail out their packages at the following U.S. Postal sites around the city:
n Corner of 22nd and Pine Avenue. Open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
n Bridge station, 1001 South Ave. Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Local students performing across the border
‘Angels ... Everywhere,’ a celebration of angels in story, music, art and dance will be presented at 7 p.m. today at Christ Church, 4750 Zimmerman Ave., Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Local student poetry submissions on what their interpretation of angels are will be showcased, alongside performers from the Academy of Dance Arts and artwork from Perspective Art Studio. A free-will offering will be taken to benefit Project Share.

NFHA to host concert
The Niagara Falls Housing Authority will present its annual “The Reason for the Season” Christmas concert and tree lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday at the Doris W. Jones Family Resource Bldg., 3001 Ninth St. Light refreshments will follow. The concert is free.

- IN BRIEF: New bucket truck tackles fallen tree Forestry workers were called to the 700 block of Spruce Avenue at 7:45 a.m., after gusts of winds up to 45 mph forced a 60-foot tree to fall over and crash onto a house. The accident caused damage to part of the home’s roof and a vehicle parked in the driveway.
